Every summer, thousands of rock fans gather in Canby, Oregon, for one unforgettable reason—Harefest, the ultimate tribute band music festival. With 24 high-energy tribute bands across multiple rock genres, Harefest isn’t just a concert—it’s a time machine back to the best rock bands.
For those who grew up with the heavy metal sounds of Iron Maiden, the soaring vocals of Journey, the electrifying riffs of Van Halen, and the wild anthems of AC/DC, Harefest offers a rare chance to relive it all. These aren’t just cover bands—they’re passionate musicians dedicated to recreating the sound, the look, and the energy of the iconic artists that shaped a generation.
Today, the rock world lost a giant. Ozzy Osbourne—The Prince of Darkness, the voice of Black Sabbath, and one of the founding fathers of heavy metal—has passed away.
For millions of fans around the world, this marks the end of an era. Ozzy wasn’t just a performer—he was a symbol of rebellion, and raw, unfiltered energy. His music shaped a generation, and his influence will echo for decades. From “Paranoid” to “Crazy Train,” Ozzy didn’t just create hits—he created an identity for those of us who grew up under the power of rock. Crazy Train is constantly played on the radio and is one of my favorite rock songs.
As our iconic rock legends grow older, their lights dim—but their spirit burns on in the hearts of fans and musicians alike. One of the most potent examples of this lives on through tribute bands like Crazy Train, who give fans a chance to relive the electrifying experience of Ozzy onstage. Their performance at Harefest was a great example of why fans go to the epic rock festival. At the center of this act are two standout performers: Tim Tugg, who embodies Ozzy with eerie precision, and Brandon Cook, a guitarist whose searing riffs resurrect the raw power of Black Sabbath and Ozzy’s solo career.
When Tim Tugg takes the stage, he doesn’t just imitate Ozzy—he channels him. From the wild eyes to the haunting voice and the unhinged energy, Tim delivers a performance that brings Ozzy roaring back to life. His tribute isn’t about mimicry—it’s a heartfelt resurrection of everything Ozzy stood for.
Beside him, Brandon Cook’s guitar work is pure fire. With technical brilliance and stage presence to match, Brandon captures the heavy, thunderous sound that defined Ozzy’s music. His guitar solos soar and show his brilliance. His guitar performance was powerful. And his passion is undeniable.
At Harefest, Crazy Train didn’t just play songs—they gave fans a portal back in time, allowing us to feel what it was like to see Ozzy in his prime. For many of us who never got the chance—or for those lucky enough to have seen him live—it was a profoundly emotional reminder of what made Ozzy so unforgettable.
With Ozzy now gone, his legacy rests on the shoulders of performers like Tim and Brandon. And they carry it with reverence, talent, and heart. For fans, Harefest is a powerful way for Ozzy’s music—and the music of many rock legends—to live on.
We’re deeply grateful to all the incredible bands who performed this year. Their passion, talent, and dedication to honoring rock icons made this one of the most unforgettable Harefests yet. Every performance was a heartfelt tribute, and every band gave it their all. Thank you for keeping the spirit of rock legends alive.
The Crazy Train keeps rolling.
And Ozzy, wherever you are—you’re still rocking with us.
