Teen Winter Wishes: Bringing Holiday Joy to Local Teens in Need

The holiday season is a time of generosity, compassion, and community spirit—and this year, the Teen Winter Wishes program is once again stepping up to support local families with teenagers who may need a little extra help with holiday gifts. Organized through the Dylan Jude Harrell Community Center (DJHCC), the program connects families in need with caring community members who want to make a difference.

Teenagers are often the most overlooked age group during holiday gift drives, and Teen Winter Wishes ensures they are not forgotten. Families who would like to sign up their teen can reach out directly to the program coordinator at annie@djhcc.org. The deadline to register is November 25th.

Community members who want to brighten a teen’s holiday can participate as gift sponsors. Sponsors choose a Teen Tag containing gift ideas and then purchase items to help make a teen’s holiday special. Those interested in sponsoring may also email annie@djhcc.org and specify their donor interest. Sponsors can sign up until December 5th.

Gift donors can pick up Teen Tags and later drop off their wrapped or unwrapped gifts at:

Dylan Jude Harrell Community Center
Port of Ilwaco – 310 Pearl Ave SE

Drop-off deadline: December 18th

Teen Winter Wishes is more than a gift program—it is a reminder that when a community comes together with kindness, the season becomes brighter for everyone. By participating, residents can help ensure teens across the Peninsula feel seen, valued, and supported this holiday season.
