Here Comes Santa Claus! A Full Day of Holiday Magic Arrives in Ocean Park on Friday, December 5

Ocean Park is kicking off the holiday season with a full day of festive fun as Santa Claus himself arrives in town for a community celebration filled with lights, music, and cheer. Mark your calendar for Friday, December 5, because the North Pole is coming to Pacific County — and everyone is invited.

🎅 3:30 p.m. — Santa’s Parade

The celebration begins with Santa’s grand parade, starting at Beach Barons’ Field. From there, Santa and his reindeer-powered sleigh will make their way up to Oysterville, through Surfside, and back down into Ocean Park, giving families multiple opportunities to wave, cheer, and feel the magic as the procession goes by. Children and adults alike can step outside, listen for the sirens and sleigh bells, and greet Santa as he glides through the neighborhood.

🎄 4:45 p.m. — Tree Lighting & Caroling

As dusk settles, the community gathers for one of the most heartwarming traditions of the season: the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Join friends, neighbors, and local carolers at the property between the Pharmacy and Sierra’s as the Christmas tree is illuminated for the first time this year. Holiday songs, bright lights, and the spirit of togetherness will make this a moment to remember.

🎁 5–7 p.m. — Santa’s Workshop at the Pacific County Fire Department

The festivities continue into the evening at the Pacific County Fire Department, located at 26109 Ridge Avenue, where Santa will host his very own workshop.

Families can enjoy:

Pictures with Santa

Cookies and cocoa

Holiday craft stations

It’s the perfect chance for kids to share their Christmas wishes while parents capture unforgettable memories.

🎄 A Celebration That Gives Back

In the spirit of the season, attendees are encouraged to bring food donations. All contributions will benefit the Ocean Park Food Bank, helping local families in need during the holidays.

This beloved annual event brings out the very best of the Long Beach Peninsula — community spirit, festive joy, and neighbors celebrating together. With a parade route stretching across Surfside and Oysterville, a glowing tree lighting, and Santa’s cozy workshop, Friday, December 5 promises to be one of the brightest days of the year.

Bundle up, bring your holiday cheer, and join the fun — Santa is coming to town!
