New ballots sent out to replace ballots not sent to the proper mailing addresses.

I was informed by another member that new ballots were mailed to residents whose original ballots were sent to lot addresses instead of their mailing addresses. This was due to mixups at the printer.  These replacement ballots are pink and differ from the original blue ballots. According to this information, members who receive both ballots are being asked to vote using only the original blue ballot and not the pink replacement ballot, with the understanding that only one ballot will be counted. The voting deadline has reportedly been extended to December 31.

Because this information is secondhand and not an official SHOA notice, members with questions should contact the office directly at (360) 665-4171. Please treat this information cautiously. For those who have not yet voted, this situation highlights why electronic voting would be a far more reliable and transparent solution.
