If you’re looking for proof that the Long Beach Peninsula doesn’t hibernate in winter, just look at the live music calendar at Ilwaco Cider Co. From February through April, the taproom at 116 Spruce St. E in Ilwaco is hosting a steady run of performers that spans folk, rock, blues, Americana, and classic pop—turning ordinary evenings into reasons to get out of the house and stay awhile.
The February schedule kicks off with Vintage Vibes on February 7 (7–9 PM), bringing high-energy hits from the ’60s and ’70s. It’s the kind of show built for singing along, dancing a little, and remembering just how many great songs came out of that era.
Valentine’s Day gets a modern twist with Electric Love Dance Party on February 14 (8–11 PM), a 21+ event featuring DJ Echoes in Static, drink specials, tarot readings, and a late-night dance-floor vibe designed to keep hearts—and feet—moving.
On February 21 (7–9 PM), Howard Buckbee brings things back to an intimate, acoustic setting. His wide-ranging repertoire stretches from Hank Williams to the Grateful Dead, from the Moody Blues to Bruce Cockburn, blending classic songwriting with a personal, roots-driven style that fits the cider house atmosphere perfectly.
February wraps up on February 28 (7–9 PM) with People Person, a band of longtime friends known for mixing lively originals with crowd-pleasing covers—from Fleetwood Mac and Elton John to Maroon 5—making for a night that’s as fun as it is familiar.
With a mix of dance music, acoustic storytelling, and classic pop and rock, Ilwaco Cider Co.’s February lineup proves that live music is very much alive on the Peninsula—even in the heart of winter. Grab a cider, grab a seat, and make a night of it.
