If you’re looking for a classic small-town Fourth of July celebration on Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula, Ocean Park is the place to be. Hosted by the Ocean Park Area Chamber of Commerce, the community gathering at Sheldon Park offers a full day of family-friendly fun, patriotic spirit, and one of the peninsula’s favorite Independence Day traditions.

The festivities begin at Sheldon Park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., where visitors can enjoy hot dog lunches, kids’ activities, bike decorating, face painting, gifts and crafts, snacks, and treats. The Grassroots Garbage Gang will also be on hand providing bags to help keep the celebration clean and beautiful.
At 1:00 p.m., the annual Fourth of July Parade rolls through Ocean Park, featuring a variety of patriotic attractions and community favorites. Spectators can look forward to a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter flyover, appearances by George Washington and the Statue of Liberty, impressive big rigs and classic cars, an ice sculpture, and this year’s Grand Marshal, acclaimed Northwest artist Eric Wiegardt.
The Ocean Park celebration is a wonderful reminder of what makes the Long Beach Peninsula special—a close-knit community coming together to celebrate America’s independence with family, friends, and hometown pride.
Whether you’re a local resident or visiting the peninsula for the holiday weekend, bring your patriotic spirit, enjoy the parade, and make memories with one of the coast’s most cherished Fourth of July traditions.
