The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency (PCEMA) is monitoring the Sage Creek Fire, which has burned approximately 70 acres near the eastern border of Pacific County.
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is actively fighting the wildfire with aircraft and other resources. At this time, no homes or residents are threatened.
The fire is producing a large column of smoke that may be visible on the horizon from portions of Pacific County. Residents should not call 911 merely to report the visible smoke. Emergency lines must remain available for people facing immediate threats to life or property.
PCEMA is coordinating with local stakeholders and Lewis County Emergency Management. The agencies are prepared to assist if DNR requests additional support.
Residents should continue monitoring official emergency-management sources for updated information.
